i totally missed my lj-versary! it was sept 30 and i even posted something! i've now been here twelve years. holy carp. i had a cakepop on thursday so i think that counts as cake. :D

it's such a non-committal obituary. i kinda like how everything is given the same weight, tho - he was a high school chemistry teacher, oh and also a drug kingpin.

Ha, Breaking Bad. I still haven't seen the last two episodes, so I don't know what happened, but I love that people are that fannish about it. But I knew that, because I have this former co-worker who is really, really into pop culture and peripherally aware of fandom, mainly because of her association with me, and would make SUCH a good fangirl and would be the only actual fangirl I know in real life but I can't ever actually rope her into it, but she and her husband actually made a trip to Albuquerque (which, to be fair, is only 200 miles from here) to visit all the shoot locations for Breaking Bad. It's such a fannish thing to do. One day I'll get her to come out of her denial and out of the closet and admit that she's actually a fangirl.

knitters try to break the record for fastest sweater, from shearing the sheep to actually making the thing. i'm just amused that norwegians are that interested in watching knitting on tv.

your former coworker is totally a fangirl! and if her husband went to albuquerque with her to scout out breaking bad locations, that makes him a fanboy. both of those things are really, really cute. maybe someday she'll admit it.
