The Twitter thing cracked me up. A friend from wayback, who grew up in Greenwich Village, said once that even many kosher Jews would break tradition in favor of Chinese food. It is that irresistible! Even in Peoria, where the 'Italian' food was a sick joke and Mexican cuisine was non-existent, the two Chinese restaurants on the main street were both fantastic-- and took slightly different tacks on the same dishes, so you'd need to eat at both.

Boy, I miss having more disposable calories in my life for Chinese food...

where there are jews, there is chinese food worth eating. :D (altho i have no idea how big the jewish population of peoria is, so it might just be that where there are hungry americans, there is chinese food worth eating.)
