I know the show is trying to constantly remind us that while Hannibal seems nice (I think he's half in love with Graham), he is EVOL. And not to be trusted!
But last week's episode was stomach-turning, and this week the guest-villain's hobby did me in. Handsome, handsome actor though, and I'm torn between "Yes, TV in general needs more black actors and this show is no exception" and "But this kind of pathology is really, really rare in anyone other than white males."
i don't know if i'd say hannibal's in love with will, but there's definitely something about will that intrigues and attracts him and that he likes. i'm pretty convinced that when he's talking to his shrink about friends, he's talking about will.
i liked tobias - the actor played raphael on spn! i thought he looked familiar so i looked him up on imdb - and yes, he was certainly a good-looking dude (and a snappy dresser!), but yeegh, his "hobby". it was both oddly sweet and intensely horrifying that he was courting hannibal and trying to get his attention. it's a good show and well-acted but oh my god, DISGUSTING.
