Hey, this is just enough to get me sucked into wanting more. I love old ghost stories (even if they have sad origins) and this is an interesting take on what those ponies might have left behind. I hope there will be more of this to read. (I really do want to know the why of these guys wandering around the back of beyond and what is passing for civilization where and when they are.)

i feel weirdly compelled to tell the story of the ghost horses of palo duro canyon over and over and over. it's a horrible story but i figure they're haunting the canyon because they're so inextricably linked to it, rather than because they have all this angry unfinished business. i should collect more ghost stories, tho. and folklore. i love me some local folklore.

this is kind of the middle of a story that no one else knows, which means i should probably write some kind of intro, huh? (bobby and cal are technically half-brothers - same mom, different dads - and this is set twenty-something years after the end of the world.) i love that you're intrigued now. :D

well, it's got a thousand ghost horses - and one very nervous live horse - so i'd hope it would be kind of creepy.... and i put the warning there so you could decide for yourself whether or not you were up to reading it. :D (i don't want to spring post-apocalypse on the unwary, you know?)
