I had a similar experience with the facebook birthday thing - like, all of a sudden my inbox had 20 notifications of facebook messages and I was SO CONFUSED. I didn't know it reminded people of birthdays because I think I've logged onto it six times this entire year. :P

the thing i find really funny, and by "funny" i mean "have you people seen ANY facebook activity from me all year?" is that some of them are people on lj and twitter, where i am MUCH more active. seriously, i log onto facebook when i get a notification that someone's invited me to something, so i can rsvp. otherwise i ignore it. and i only know it reminds people of birthdays because this happened to me last year too, altho i'm not surprised it does that.

the parental unit is taking me out for sushi later, which totally counts as being feted. i'm not sure if there will be cake afterwards or not, but my stepcousin who is having thanksgiving, her husband and i share a birthday, so there will be cake on thursday.
