last night my sister and i saw the two towers - the extended version - in a movie theater. i guess it's a one-time special thing. fotr was on last tuesday and rotk is next tuesday. we were like forty-five minutes early

I actually can't watch the theatrical versions of any of the LOTR movies anymore. I'm so used to the extended editions that the theatrical films feel incomplete.

But then, I'm a total geek for these films/books/fandom. (I'm sure you're shocked by this.)

I'm going to see the EE of ROTK next week because that will be the first time ever it'll be shown on the big screen (so excited!!), but I've seen the EE of FOTR and TTT a bunch of times over the years, including the last trilogy screening I went to, which was just in February. Which is why I didn't go to the Fellowship screening last week or the Two Towers one last night.

i love that they're the ee versions, because "ee!" was about how my sister reacted to them showing in theaters.

Oh, man, that flashback scene with Faramir & Boromir STILL gets to me whenever I see it. ♥

Also, Karl is ridiculously hot with long, blond hair, which really shouldn't be possible.
