and by "extras" we mean, of course, "ridiculous author's note and pics of cars". because that's how i roll. :D

the author's note is actually not that ridiculous, but might be vaguely spoilery )

Years ago, one of the doctors at the hospital where I worked bought a Pantera. (In fact, I think I remember it being yellow.) I remember some of us peeking into it and being horrified that it was an automatic. LOL. I'll tell you what, that car was extremely cool, but it looked completely ludicrous sitting in the parking lot of a tiny hospital in a small town in rural Vermont. ;D

Thanks for the pics, I really enjoyed them. I know next to nothing about cars, but I do love looking at them, especially the classics. There are so many great ones here.

Ok, it's late and I'm tired but I needed to comment to say -
1) This fic was awesome
2) I'm never going to be able to watch 'Gone in 60 Seconds' again without imaging Elanor as a 67 Impala instead of a Shelby Mustang. And yet, strangely, I'm ok with that
3) I'm car hunting at the moment as I've just found out my baby (nothing super special but she was to me and I have had her for the last 7 years) won't last much longer. You have given me serious car envy.
4) You really rock and I'm friending you

That is all :P

1. thank you! i'm glad you liked it. :D
2. hee! my work here is done. (personally i always imagined dean in the black car with the flames, the one that shot fire out its tailpipe. it was even personalized to him! it's very easy to imagine the metallicar in the movie, tho.)
3. my car was rear-ended and totaled a month ago and i've only been driving my new car - which i named eleanor, heh - for a week, so i feel your pain. mine was twelve and a half years old and yeah, it was totally my baby. writing about (and looking for pics of) cars way beyond my means did not help in the search process.
4. aw, thank you again. currently i feel mostly cold and damp, so it's nice to know someone thinks i'm kind of cool. :D
