happy birthday to coiledsoul, who ran wincon for five years (well, not all by herself but you know what i mean) and is one of the sweetest, friendliest people-in-charge i've ever met. if you see her at wincon this year, give her a hug. :D and also, jen, wherever you are, i hope you're getting cake. :D ( Read more... )

wtf, links, boston, baked goods, white collar, psa, crafty, crack

why did neal think a statue in a public park was the safest place to hide a $2.5m stolen emerald ring?

I thought that too but I rewound and a closer look made me think he covered the ring over with something so it looked to be a part of the statue.

i tried to picture him as the nyc version of a soccer dad and just couldn't do it.

Which is kind of hysterical as there are pictures of Bomer with his three kids being exactly that. (The man is in, like, a hoodie and jeans and is still better looking than 9/10ths of the planet.)

and then... they do what she wants

Because El is *IN CHARGE*. Also, if I was in their shoes, and anything happened to Peter, they'd have to explain to Peter, Diana, and possibly Rhys why, exactly, they didn't let El hear him one last time. Career suicide.

I'm amused by the subtext that Neal gave his engagement ring to Peter. :D

i've seen like two pics of matt bomer with his kids and i was just USELESS for the rest of the day. so much hotness, i can't even stand it. but i couldn't remotely picture neal caffrey in his vintage suits pushing his kid on the swings.

man, el is SO in charge. i'd bet even peter's boss is vaguely afraid of her.

>>I'm amused by the subtext that Neal gave his engagement ring to Peter.<<

dude, it's not even subtext any more. it's TEXT.

Actually, I thought it was really clever of Neal to hide the ring the way he did - it looked just like it was part of the statue. :)

But yeah, Neal giving Peter the engagement ring at the end (and the HUG!!!) was pretty much awesome. Not to mention, the entire conversation between Neal & Elizabeth where El pretty much ordered Neal to find Peter & bring him home was awesome. So much love for this show, man.

hiding in plain sight, i guess. and it wasn't as if the statue was going to move....

that was such an "i love you, man" hug. aw, boys. and el ordering pretty much everyone around! i loved that.

honestly, i'm not sure i could love the show more if i tried.

I'd emailed that cookie link to a friend of mine last week, and then her roommate baked them for our cocktail party last Friday. And they were every bit as amazing as you would imagine.
