I just watched Chad Hedwick and a coupla nineteen-year-olds take silver in the speedskating team pursuit. He skates with his tongue hanging out. I'm just SAYING.

They were totally adorable, skated to a slow, bluesy cover of "Billie Jean." The Worlds are being held in Italy end of March, I think they'll do weel because they are FANTASTIC.

Plushenko's skate was more of a pissy tantrum on the ice, he skated to a song called "Je Suis Malade" and ended in a fetal position on the ice. YES, WE KNOW YOU THINK YOU WERE ROBBED. *eyeroll*

Awww, Canada. *loves her country* We had a good day today at the Olympics - actually have had a good run all around - just like the US.

I have feeling that it wouldn't have been that hard to hotwire in 1932 but I have no actual proof of that. :)

in the absence of top-ranked americans in a sport, i cheer for canada. :D and it didn't seem right for some other country to get the gold in curling.

i don't think it would be that hard either - cars were so much less complicated eighty years ago - but i have no idea.

I loved the curling medal ceremony. They were so happy! I think my favorite thing about seeing all the Canadian wins this Olympics has been the way they absolutely belt out their anthem. It's fabulous.

and it wasn't just them singing, but most of the arena! and the guys all had their arms around each other and i was briefly overcome.
