this is what i've heard. it didn't ping my interest when it premiered but i really liked the halloween episode. possibly because nathan got to be captain tightpants for, like, three minutes.... and captain tightpants is always good. :D
You can cut up and roast the squash and then mix it in to risotto! My housemates and I do an awesome risotto with roast squash and sweet potato, and added bacon. I guess instead of bacon you could add some sharp cheese -- something to cut the sweetness.
Nathan is enjoying the HELL out of himself on this show, which is part of what makes it so fun to watch.
... so, I called the doctor's office to make an appointment to maybe clear up this toenail thing before next year's sandal season and they had an opening THIS AFTERNOON. And I sort of mentioned but didn't really mention the ADHD thing, and I'm waffling on whether to bring it up to the doctor and see about meds to focus my head. Because I waffle. It's what I do. And after the thyroid-function thing I'm half-convinced that I DON'T need meds for ANYTHING (except the toenails, because ick) and I'm just a big whiny whiner who should suck it up already.
dude. bring it up. i mean, you're going to be there anyway, you may as well. and the doctor will either say "i can help you with that" or "i can't help you but here's a referral for someone who can". you're not a whiner, you're just a waffler.
*sigh* I only managed because this particular doctor is easy to talk to, and also funny. Now I gotta start over with someone I don't even know.
Also, the guy doing the blood draw was good at his job and had some nicely distracting tats, but the bandaid did this weird blood-blister thing to my arm when I pulled it off :P
it never occurred to me to make a squash pie. ooh. i bet that's good. (i've never had but would totally eat a butternut squash pie.) altho i'll probably start out with the basic baked-with-butter thing.
