Once upon a time he might have tried to get everyone out alive, but right now . . . . no. He doesn't have enough.

Ohh. Good point. Damn. See, I (initially) looked at it from the other side-- Hotch totally understood what the cop was going through with wanting the unsub(s) dead (like Foyet) but was warning the cop that that doesn't actually help anything, and so his walking away at the end was, in a way, walking away from Foyet. (And therefore a step closer to healing from the Foyet ordeal, even though obviously there's still more to that story.)

But ... your interpretation makes more sense, even though it's way more angsty and Oh Hotch. :(

this is why i have to watch some of it again. i was mostly concentrating on the morgan bits. this makes sense, tho. sure, a year or so ago hotch might have tried to resolve the case without all the unsubs getting killed, but he would've failed. the two guys in the house would've gotten the dcpd to shoot them anyway.

(i totally caught that they were trying to commit suicide by cop. one of them saying "hold it so it looks like a gun" was kind of a giveaway. plus morgan had already mentioned it a couple times.)

Hey, so, speaking of Criminal Minds, a friend of mine watches it & is interested in, um, *checks phone*, fics featuring Morgan & Garcia, preferably together. (I have no idea who these people are, but she assures me they're practically canon.)

Any recs or comms or anything would rock. :) Thanks, baby!!

i am actually the wrong person to ask, as i don't read cm fic. but i can poll the flist and see if anyone has any recs. (and yeah, morgan/garcia is practically canon. they're very, very cute together. totally platonic, but there's some really nice underlying chemistry.)

That would be great, actually. I wouldn't even begin to know where to point her. :) All I know is that she told me the Morgan person is played by a guy that looks like Jason Taylor & that's enough for me. *g*
