Did the radio station maybe change format? We have a "we play anything" station here that often plays things that just don't seem to belong together.

it's not a format change, and most of their playlist is still alternative. one of the more rock-oriented stations did have a format change - from music to sports - and the only thing i can figure is that my station is trying to lure the old station's listeners by offering the occasional rock song. maybe. possibly. i guess. if they'd gone to free-form or something this would make more sense, but no. still alternative.

wfnx. i figured they were throwing in the occasional hard/classic rock song to lure former wbcn listeners, but it sounds so WEIRD AND WRONG. especially since the rolling stones, say, seem more like a waaf band, and i can't imagine bcn playing the beatles.

I don't know why I couldn't keep watching The Cleaner, but... I just couldn't. It's so good, but I've been having this thing lately where suddenly I'm watching something or reading something and it just gets... uncomfortable. Like I suddenly have all these Stealth Issues sabotaging my fun teevee times. Very annoying.

VINYL. O.O i just don't want to see red dawn by myself. i need more non-local friends to move to boston. *ahem* (i might rent streets of fire, tho. i remember it fondly, altho i might be irredeemably cheesed out by a rewatch.)

the cleaner does seem like one of those shows that might suddenly poke a nerve you weren't necessarily expecting to be poked, to the point you can't watch any more. which definitely sucks. on the plus side, when la mission comes out, you can get your benjamin bratt fix on the big screen, with bonus canon gay subplot. :D
