this was just supposed to be dialogue but i figured i should try to give at least some kind of context. your guess is as good as mine as to whether or not i actually did.

there's no beginning, it just kind of drops you in the middle.

Poor Jason, man. I'm not sure if I should laugh at him or feel sorry for him. Maybe a little bit of both, come to think on it. *g*

Although, relatedly, I know two people who were born here & stayed here. My best friend, who was born at the Cedars-Sinai on Sunset & lives in Downey and my managing director, who was born at the UCLA hospital & lives in Sant Monica. But they're just about it, man.

Alsoalso, Alice, Texas. No one over the age of eighteen was born there, all the kids flee as soon as humanly possible (which has the odd side-effect that my college roommate -- whose mom was born in Alice -- meets people from there ALL OVER THE WORLD). Possibly same is true for LA.
