this morning, for about ten minutes, i thought seriously about signing up with twitter. (getting a twitter? what's the correct terminology?) the only thing is, i'd only be on when i was online and actually remembered, because i'm not doing it from my phone, and that seemed kind of silly. altho it would allow me to stalk follow people like david ( Read more... )

I'm quite active on twitter (and identi.ca) and I've never done it from my phone.

i know people tweet from their computers and not their phones, but it seems to kind of defeat the purpose to only be able to use it then. altho i freely admit i'm not sure what it's for, or at least what i'd use it for, so maybe that way makes perfect sense. basically i'm kind of baffled by twitter and yet kind of tempted.

what do you use it for? i'm kind of tempted to sign up for this thing that i don't know how to use, which seems kind of silly. but still kind of tempting.

I'm still awfully confused about what Twitter is actually for - and yet I'm toying with the idea of signing up as well. I never did take much of an interest in stalking before, I don't think. Hmm.

i'm confused as to what it's for too! it's like facebook that way - i know there's a point, i just don't know what it is. and yet... it's still kind of tempting.

I never twitter through my phone. My friends and I use it almost like chat - we have entire twitter conversations. I use disgby at home to manage it, and some random firefox plugin at work. I am definitely not one of the 60% who used twitter once and left forever.

it's starting to look kind of like dreamwidth in a way - the things people use/like twitter for don't necessarily apply to me, but at least i have an idea what i could do with it. (i'm on lj a lot at work but i draw the line at chatting because i have to draw the line somewhere.) hm. hmm.
