i was very briefly tempted. i have not however taken complete leave of my senses. (if you could pledge to write 100k words, tho, i would've done that.)

well, it's earlier than the dukes of hazzard, and without the sexpot sister. and any feds in the vicinity would be competent but underpaid and thus ripe for bribing.

i could possibly pledge, like, 100k words in a year, because half of those would probably be nanowords, and i think i can do 50k words in eleven months. i mean, that's only 4550 words a month, or a little more than 1100 words a week. which i think i can do.

*bites lip* ... you might get me. Maybe. I made it through mini-nano and then tried to continue on a ten-minutes-a-day basis and made a whole two weeks :D

aren't they adorable? i love crafters.

i think it would be a fun write, too. except for the research. urgh. altho i'd know how to make moonshine when i was done.... and i'd get to spend some quality time checking out pics of early 20s cars and men's fashion.

(did you get your car fixed? are you up for ribs?)

I would LOVE to get ribs tomorrow night if that works for you. (I got very little sleep last night so my plan is to go home after work tonight (with my brisket that JR saved for me) and go to bed early.) I read through my WGBH membership book, and, with my member card, we can get 10% off our entrees!

My car has been taken by tow truck to the dealer. I just need to sort out the best way to get home from Davis if I still don't have my car (which might not get fixed till next week; the shop is only open today until Wednesday this week and the schedule was already full. I am banking on a cancellation.) I am thinking red line to Harvard and then taking the 66 to Allston. Or, just getting a cab from Harvard if it is wicked cold.
