book!
so apparently the cure for being miss pissypants and hating everyone and everything is to write 1900 words of nanobang and not hate them. who knew? also it helps to eat dinner, watch criminal minds from two weeks ago, and call the parental unit and tell them you want to go out for sushi for your birthday.
not that i'm necessarily a pure buttery joy to be around, but at least i can give half a damn now....
also i have a book to share. :D at wincon last year i made a deal with deirdre_c - if she'd teach me how to vid, i'd make her a book. so i got some vidding lessons and she got a book of gekizetsu's fic the last outpost of all there is. which she sent on to barb. which means i can share it.
it's 4.25" x 5.5", which is my standard size for books unless you want a big one, and it's 279 pages, and the cover is scrapbooking paper (i think), with a gold ribbon with a little wooden bead. the fic's about the end of the world and i pictured sam and dean driving down deserted roads with absolutely nothing living in any direction, and that translated in my head to "brown". but i like the paper - the color has some texture to it.
it's leaning because it's sitting on my couch. i really like how even the sewing came out.
there's a not insignificant amount of traveling in the book (and for the first couple seasons, spn was a very grounded-in-american-geography show), so of course that means a map. :D i used a sheet of stationery. and i couldn't resist taking a picture with my mini model metallicar. and also you can see the little flower on the bead.
the front and back inside covers photoshopped together. eastern and western halves of the us.
