"First memory", "first love"... etc.
This month, we interviewed Massu about several of his "first's".
First memory since you were born: My oldest memory is a family vacation. We went to the sea when I was young, went skiing, we also went overseas before. Or maybe it's a memory that I recalled only after I saw pictures of it.
First CD you ever bought: The first one I bought with my pocket money when I was in primary school was B'z's "Samayoeru Aoi Dangan (さまよえる蒼い弾丸)".
First song you sang: I think the first song I sang solo on television was Misora Hibari's "Ringo Oiwake". (美空ひばり / リンゴ追分)
First stage you stood on: The day after I went for the audition was Television Tokyo's recording of "Ai Love B.I.G (愛ラブB.I.G)", and I danced the "Can do! Can go!" that I had just learnt. I feel like everything started from there. The first time I danced as back-up was at Kinki Kids' Tokyo Dome concert.
First time you ate with a senior: I think it was with Nagano (Hiroshi)-kun. Around the period of time the successive members of Kinpachi-Sensei were featured on commercials, he brought me to eat Japanese cuisine, and let me try different types of rice.
First time you treated a junior: I think the first time was when I brought MADE and some other juniors who danced back-up for us during our performance to eat. It's not that it's because I got treated by seniors in the past so I'm reciprocating it to the juniors, it's that I want them to know what it feels like to be brought to eat by a senior, and hopefully pass on the tradition. I was taught like that by my seniors. That's why when I get told, "Masuda-kun, thank you for always. Today, we'll pay," by my juniors, I'll decline with, "No, it's okay. Just go bring out your own juniors and treat them". When I said that, I was really cool huh. (laughs)
First love: The girl who sat beside me when I transferred schools in 4th grade primary school. I probably got my first Valentines chocolates from her too. But when I saw that she gave other people chocolates too, I remember I got really mad.
Recent "First"s: NEWS's solo countdown concert. This was a really happy experience. We did a "selfishly done shuffle medley in Osaka" in which was not streamed on television, so only the people who were there could see. I suggested, "I wanna do it!", and so the 4 of us chose the songs, King&Prince's "Cinderella Girl", Kanjani8's "Osaka Romanesque", WEST's "Eejanaika", and Tackey&Tsubasa's "Venus" and we sang and danced to them. It was really fun.
