Awww, I love it. 2.06 left me looking for fics that filled the gaps and the unspoken words in the episode, and this is a lovely, visceral re-interpretation of that scene.
I love this Arthur -the one who shows he's not perfect, the one who struggles against his tears, the one who simply is a man ...
Again, great job ! Your words are just perfect, and I absolutely adore the point of view you've picked up, it gives much more strength to Arthur's feelings. And the end, aw, I could just imagine Merlin, with his soft smile, trying to comfort him. ♥
You're more than welcome. Going back home tired, grumpy and all, and then discover that you've posted some wonderful piece of work, that's surely one of the greatest thing in the world. :D
Yes, we can still dream, but the "hug scene" was, at least, enough for me. I laughed so hard at Arthur's reaction and then Merlin's face ... priceless !
I returned home in the same mood but I had loads of free time to do some writing so it wasn't all bad. It means soooo much to me that what I post has such an effect on you. It makes me smile! Your comments at the moment are the best things in the world. They're what keep me going and writing more :D
THE HUG SCENE *goes off the laptop for a second and jumps around flailing* I LOVED IT SO MUCH!. Pure perfection. I replay it in my head on those long college days. It makes life so much more bearable.
Once again thank you ever so much for everything :)

ps. I absolutely adore your icon. Did you make it and if so, is it sharable with credit to you, of course?

I only wish it happened in the episode. :)

That line you used to describe Arthur was simply gorgeous, I'm glad you understood my portrayal of the young prince.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. It means a lot, especially since I am not used to writing from a particular characters perspective.
I'm very happy that the ending pleases you and comforting Merlin is just too sweet :)
I think we all wanted that to happen in the episode, but we can still dream my friend.
