Eduardo wakes up before Mark, which isn’t unusual. When Mark sleeps, it’s usually like the dead, like he’s storing up sleep to keep in his reserves for those hours and days when he goes without any at all-Mark is a sleep camel, basically, no matter how much Eduardo tries to break him out of those kinds of habits. Eduardo gets up and doesn’t worry about making noise or jostling Mark as he leaves the bed and puts on a bathrobe, because he knows there are very few things that can wake him up when he’s like this.

He goes to the bathroom and then down to the kitchen, contemplating coffee but deciding he doesn’t want to be that awake yet; it’s a Sunday, and he purposely has nothing to do, a cleared work schedule and a boyfriend who will wake up and want to be entertained once he’s figured he’s been cut off from work, too.
