Love the netbook, hate the antivirus

My netbook came with a 30 day trial version of Norton Antivirus. Norton Antivirus is owned by Symantec. I had Symantec on my old laptop and had had no issue with it. I had the ability to put it on my netbook, but figured I'd give Norton a try. After all, they were owned by the same company. How different could they be

I have been told by people more knowledgeable about computers than me that Symantec is kind of obnoxious because it takes up a lot of space with no real benefit from it. They told me to get AVG Anti-Virus Free, and it's worked well for me, so if you keep having problems you might try that out?

I've been pretty satisfied with Symantec on the last two machines I've owned, so I'm going to stick with it. For now. :D
