Finally

Four hours after I took my laptop out of the box, I finally have installed all the updates and can actually use it on the internet. Sweet Jesus, Lenovo, how lazy can you be? I had to update with Service Pack 3 and everything after it. FOUR HOURS. And let's not even talk about the fact that they shipped it with Office 2007 and then didn't give me a ( Read more... )

My laptop had a 30day trial of Office 2007. I got 2003 from work, 'cause, you know, I work at home sometimes. Or not.

Um, yay laptop? Good luck with getting it exactly the way you want it. ^_^

I got Office 2007 from the University. Downloaded and installed without a problem. It took like 30 minutes to get it, but once installed I didn't have to worry about product keys or anything like that.

It's still a work in progress, but at least now I can surf the internet without having to worry about my operating system getting eaten.

I'll bet they're being lazy with what's left of their XP stock because they're having to bend over backwards to deal with Vista.

They couldn't even send me a Windows XP recovery disc. I have a Windows Vista recovery disc because technically, that's what was supposed to come on my laptop. Yeah. Sure. The only thing that Vista disc is good for to me is as a drink coaster.

Are you kidding? I removed that crap first thing. I'm going to install enough of my own over bloated, space hogging software. I don't need theirs as well.
