Beware Frankenstorm

Weather forecaster are basically calling for Hurricane Sandy to turn into a repeat of the Perfect Storm, which coincidentally also hit around Halloween . Basically, it's when a hurricane, a nor'easter, and a cold front all merge. They've even given a cutesy name: Frankenstorm

YES please stay safe and remember the modern house is NOT set up to safely burn fuel of any kind in unless you have a working fireplace and that's where you're doing the burning. Carbon dioxide kills.

No worries here. We have a fireplace if we need it (though I hate the darn thing), so we're good. I wouldn't even dream about burning anywhere else in my house. I'm too afraid I wouldn't have a house left afterwards!

The head meteorologist from Weather Underground said something like, 'oh, no, this isn't going to be like the Perfect Storm. It caused millions in damages. This storm is going to cause billions.'

Same issue here. Right in the predicted path. We've stocked up a bit, but there is only so much you can prepare for, so... Yes, take care, and let's hope we all won't be sitting around bored, without power, eating the halloween candy because no one is trick or treating!
We have a wood stove at least too... Oh this is gonna be interesting//
