And because he won't shut up about it, Tonymuse is quite amazed that he and Mirage are in the same city/island group/same thing together and it's Xigbar who pissed her off.

Haaa, if it makes him feel better, I doubt the two of them have ever met in this universe? Beside the fact that they do technically live on separate islands and Mirage probably wouldn't need to go to a blacksmith very often - if ever - she's veeeeery much a woman of seclusion. It has to do with the whole "I gave up everything" part of the argument, but we'll learn more about that later. ;D

I honestly couldn't possibly pick out just a couple favorite lines. I'd have ended up copy/pasting everything from that tense little scene at the luau, and the entire scene between Xigbar and Mirage. That scene... oh, wow. The whole thing was like a punch to the heart. I really wanted to reach in and give him a hug. *sniffs* :'O

Mirage! My jaw actually dropped when I read she'd tried to kill herself. I get the sense by the way she talks that she was mistreated by men before even Xigbar came along, which might have lead to the mentioned suicide attempt? Why am I imagining there's a pirate!Syndrome roaming around out there? And I saw what you did there, throwing in that line from "The Incredibles." Pfft, that was good ( ... )
