86 authors is fantastic.

I was wondering, any chance we could compile the stories into a zine to be sold to profit Moonridge? Considering the authors involved, I'm sure that people would love to buy it. And I'm sure that people would be happy to donate their stories for such a good cause too.

It's an interesting idea and I'd love to be able to help Moonridge in some way! *g* Give us a few days to do the massive prompt email and then we'll definitely bring up the idea and see what we can come up with! Thanks. *bg*

Just personally, I wouldn't be comfortable with putting my story in a zine. Right now I'm thinking of it as 1000 words or so of fun; the zine thing makes it something more pressure-full and demanding. Maybe a new ficathon, with it stated up front that the stories will be zined for Moonridge?

That's actually good to know. I doubt we'd be able to do a zine with 86 stories anyways. (Not to mention that between the 4 mods I don't think we have even one drop of zine making talent. *g* And I won't even comment on the amount of work that would involve. Ugh.)

The new ficathon idea could work for next year maybe, but I don't see it happening for this year. Mostly due to time constraints and such. For those that do want to participate in the Moonridge Auction, we'd have no problems with them approaching authors individually for their ficathon stories. And we'd always welcome suggestions as to how we could possibly help.

When things settle down maybe we can come up with some additional ideas. Thanks for your comment!
