first... oops,
did i do that? i finally was able to do it! some time ago, Bodge and I were talking about all my reviews, and how i liked them ALL. she suggested i write a review saying i didn't like an episode.
so i did - sorry about that....
second... i'm relinking some
not really random links back from July. heh.
third... and what you've really been wanting,
my REAL thinky post on "Lazarus Rising":
in order to call it "dark," you need to have the opposite, "light." so in Dean's world, the opposide of "demon" is "hunter," right? Castiel (*yum*) said he was an Angel of the Lord, and Dean needed faith. so Dean's opposite of "demon" is a legend itself, something that doesn't exist. but in order to call something a "demon," you have to have an "angel." and these guys aren't joking around. i loved the wings... WOW. someone else pointed out the symbol for Castiel was a Raven...? hmmm.... isn't the Raven a Tricktster bird? heh.
i knew something was up when Dean finally climbed out and all the trees were flattened... just weird. i did see the first five minutes that someone had posted from ComicCon, but wow! nothing like seeing it full-on. and the flashes to Hell? *shudders*
i LOVED Bobby being skeptical about Dean.... and even splashed him with holy water. oops. heh.
and then we do it all over again with Sam, who i swear you could knock over with a feather.
brother hug!! yaaay!!
Dear Sam,
even though it never crossed your mind to think that Dean would come back from the dead, you could have at least honored his memory by not screwing with the car! i'll take the iPod, the car is just fine as it is.
love, Trys.
Pamela is very cool...yikes on her reaction to Castiel... she knows him from somewhere - just as Mary knew the YED - Pamela knows that the presence is Castiel.
but the eye-thing? just... ewwww.... Gore Factor gets another point.
i knew something was up with the waitress at the diner.... there was just something about her, and then she did the black-eyes thing. oh yeah. and very self-assured. Demon possession will do that to a person.
but later on? when Sam went back to the diner? wow... that's a nifty power he's got there....and then Kristy shows up and Sam calls her Ruby! *weeee* we suspected this! so since Dean died, Ruby got together with Sam, and they've been working on waking up his dormant powers, and killing all the demons that way. wow, Sam's been busy since Dean died.
meanwhile back at the ranch, all the glass and windows starts breaking again, and we learn that it's really Castiel, trying to talk to Dean.... because sometimes people can hear his voice. dude, Dean's not Joan of Arc... he doesn't believe in Gods or Angels....
when Dean was alone and looked into the mirror, i was all "uh oh...." and we got the flashes of Dean's eyes in Hell... wow. talk about your psychological horror! (and ok, it reminded me a little of the end of Devour....)
i'm sure that somewhere i might have thought that Dean was saved by an Angel. it plays into the whole "Sam-has-Demon-blood-in-him" mythology.... setting it up to be brother v. brother as a possible senario for S4.
and where we left off was Sam didn't tell Dean about his powers, Bobby's out cold, and Dean is face to face with something that shouldn't exist an angel.
yeah. we've got work to do.
is it next week yet?
and finally... picspam... at some point before the next episode.
