i heard the funniest thing in a comment i got this morning - that people are saying that Jensen starring in SN S4 is a casting spoiler! *jaw drops*

anyway, there is a spoiler already - from buddytv, where basically ( 'Kripke recently spoke with TV Guide's Matt Mitovich and revealed a fairly significant spoiler for the show's fourth season.' )

supernatural, spoilers, sn s4, sn s3, speculation, storytelling, meta

Yes, yes, yes!
Thank you. People started wigging out how a change in their relationship would be a bad thing but I don't think so at all.

I think that you can probably see a lot of how Season 4 is going to go (at least at first) based on "Mystery Spot".

I can't really begin to explain how Kripke plans to bring Dean back but I do think that Dean will need a recovery period. So, maybe the change in their relationship is that, this time around, SAM is the protector. I'm thinking there will be a bit of a role-reversal when they get Dean back. He cannot go to Hell and Back and just be "fine" two or three episodes later (if he is I'll kick Kripke, seriously).

Uh oh! You mentioned Jensen being in Season 4. Better get that behind a cut--you'll spoiler someone hun! *insert sarcasm here*

Wait? Did someone actually say you spoilered them by saying Jensen would still be on the show? Really?

WOW.

;)

hehe you're welcome.

and yeah, Dean can't come back and be just same as he always was. he might be "better" three episodes in, cause this IS TV, and Supernatural has always had an ambiguous timeline.

but no, no one said *I* spoileed them by saying jensen would be in S4, someone left me this comment, and i got a good laugh out of it:

"I have actually seen a couple of people point out that talking about Jensen/Dean being in season 4 is actually a - *gasp* - casting spoiler for next season! Like there is actually any chance of him not being in season 4. Crazy people.... "

edit - So, maybe the change in their relationship is that, this time around, SAM is the protector. I'm thinking there will be a bit of a role-reversal when they get Dean back.
ooh that would be pretty cool.....

*FACEPALM*

By the way, have you seen issue 4 of the Supernatural magazine. Right off Eric Kripke wrote about how Sam and Dean are equal--I laughed so much when I saw that. Thank you Eric for addressing that!

It's an interesting read. :)

no, i haven't seen that... but that's cool that Eric put that out there... but he really should have to. he's said the show is about Dean and Sam; Sam and Dean.... so, yeah.

I think the Kripke quote abotu heros was something like Sam is the Campbel hero but I think of Dean as a hero because he's doing this on his own (no speacal powers or destiny).

Sam and Dean are both heros - but of differnt types. Sam is the young hero type and Dean the Fallen or Worldly hero type - they take turns beign the central hero. *shrug*

I think Dean will be back on this plane by the end of the first ep of the 4th season - but that dosn't mean 4 months haven't passed for him. It would be nice to see a fallout from something - since we saw very little fall out from Sam being on his own for 4 months. But then again When you get down to it Sam is (In a way) much less emotional then Dean.

exactly - i think it will seem like much longer for Dean.

as i mentioned above, i don't know how long Eric will have the "fallout" for - it IS a tv show, and you never know what can happen next.

totally agree here - it's be boring if they were the same kind or hero, wouldn't it?

It woudl be totaly boring if they were the same kinda hero - I mean realy. But one beign a hero dosn't negate the herohood of the other (I am becoming one of the things I hate - I am becaomeing a defensive - divisitve over sensitive Sam girl)

I'd love to see Sam in a protective role - even for a little while - since we know he is totlay capible of it. I'd also like to see Dean try to fight it. It could be fall out on both sides. Sam from being alone so long and Dean from being in hell.

this is totally true - are people really saying this?

it certainly could. and they'd be dealing with this AND fighting the Demon War at the same time. yikes!

People think Jensen coming back is a spoiler. As opposed to who, CMM?

I think Kripke said somewhere that Dean is the hero. I'm kinda looking at his time in hell as the underworld. And duh, he'll come back different. My biggest concern is how will he get his body back?

I didn't read your entry under the cut (for obvious reasons ;) and I won't read the comments either (the same reasons ;) - I just wanted to say that you really made me laugh with this:

that people are saying that Jensen starring in SN S4 is a casting spoiler

God, not even my spoilerphobic mind would ever consider THIS to be a spoiler *lol*
