I always love reading your thoughts on the episodes - and last night's was such a good one!
I'm really anxious to find out more about Ruby - specifically why she's so keen on helping the guys. And really? Why did all the other demons not attack her when she left the precinct? She only had a knife - granted, a demon-killing knife - but it was still only a girl and her knife.
When Sam started spouting the first exorcism... dude, I so got goosebumps. Him having that memorized is so in character, and extremely yummy. Hahaha - and it always reminds me of Dean trying to recite an exorcism from memory in Sin City - cracks me up everytime.
Oh show, how I love thee!!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, as always! :)
Did you ever watch Due South? The character Benton Fraser kept being stabbed, shot, whathaveyou in the same leg. Finally, after one of these injuries his partner Ray give him a button that says, "Please shoot the other leg".
I feel that way about Dean's shoulder. :)
The triumphant return of Geek Boy! (that was actually quite the kick-ass plan they had) The Tatoos! *THUD*
Bela's little tantrum to Dean on the phone leads me to believe you're right in thinking she has a personal reason for wanting the colt.
I was so proud of Sam for having the exorcism memorized this time!! And I'd been envisioning an over-the-PA exorcism for a while now. *feels very vindicated*
Ruby, I still don't like. And don't trust. It's not that any of her suggestions are bad choices, but they always feel like the wrong choices, in a moral sense.
And I'd been envisioning an over-the-PA exorcism for a while now. awesome!!
i like Ruby, but i agree that she doesn't have the best ideas, but in this case - based on Lillith's appearance - i think it would have gone badly either way....
But - i do think choosing Dean's way might have given a message to the demons that the boys are going to fight, and not take the easy way out - Ruby's spell, Ruby's fixed Colt....
Ya, I don't like how she's trying to order the boys around. That was BDW's job. And her continued bossiness leads me to believe that she's wanting to use the Winchesters, not that she has any real respect for them. This is her agenda, not theirs, and for the moment, their agendas happen to meet.
her continued bossiness leads me to believe that she's wanting to use the Winchesters since we even knew they were going to be introduced to cause trouble and make hell for the boys, i've said that Ruby has an ulterior motive out the wazoo (or an ulterior motive the size of texas, take your pick....
and for the moment, their agendas happen to meet yeppers, i agree here too......

i think it was that the demons either recognised the Demon in Ruby, or the knife, and they gave her the passage from the station.
and yes, very in character for Sam... Dean, not so much. he just likes shooting things, i think.
and you're quite welcome. :D
