it seems a number of people are asking my opinion on things - movies, shows, books.... and what do i think of them. i want to explain something again: if it's by an author i like, has an actor in it i like - i'm going to like it. i should further point out that i like cheesy, bloody slasher horror flicks and cheesy movies and stuff. so yeah. not really reliable in my assessment of whatever it is. *hee*
i've read a number of review posts, so here's my
spoilery random thoughts on Bedtime Stories:
*i love that the Crossroads Demon knows Ruby, and recognized her handiwork. and the neat red effects said that the Colt does work and kill demons. :D she didn't flash her eyes red though, like the other Crossroads Demons did.
--> wait, i thought Demons had to answer the questions presented to them. actually, (also as Bodge said) they do have to answer the questions - and generally can't lie. anyway. Sam asked the Demon who her Boss was, and she didn't answer. huh.
*Bodge mentioned the tales presented in the show were tamed down from the original. in this week's
Monday Morning at the Movies post, i have some links to the original tales. yeah, i still need to read them too.
*the argument in the car at the beginning - totall called it that Dean was going to say "i'm the big brother, that's why!" - or words to that effect. :D
*in the hospital when Dean tells Sam to let him go: i've seen two groups of fans on this - one says they wanted Sam to smack Dean for saying that; the other says that it was totally perfect. me? i think both. as i've said before, Dean's facade is that he's not scared, and this is what he wants Sam, Bobby, and every one else to think. so yeah, Dean wants Sam to just let him go. Sam? since Dean and Sam lie to everyone about who they are and what their jobs are, Sam is a sucky liar when lying to Dean and Demons has to know that Dean is lying, he's just saying it. so yeah, Sam should smack him.
*Page and Plant!! go now and read "The Rescue of Richie Ryan" by
strangevisitor7 - it's part of the
ImmortalDean'Verse. Zeppelin Rules!! :D
*as for the fairy tales plot, i really liked it. i have seen variations on a theme, but this one was totally cool. Three Little Pigs, Hansel & Gretl, and Little Red Riding Hood. i loved the Wile E. Coyote tat. heh.
*i'm sure i have more. that's what the comments are for.
