good dinner, good night... odd ending.

a few weeks ago, when my friend R was over, she offered that if me and B wanted to go out for dinner on valentine's day, her and her hubby T could watch the girls for us. we thought about it, and after remembering we'd gotten a gift card to a family restaurant over the holidays, we took them up on their offer ( Read more... )

I don't know that they wouldn't be your freinds. I have quite a few evangelical (of one sort or another) and none of them really talk to me about it.

I do agree that the top lines would be odd if the other parts were anti co existing

yeah, true, we don't really talk about our beliefs and places of worship with each other.

it was a little misleading... i thought the idea of the Coexist was to show that peoples CAN coexist. and so the "Coexist" on the front and the first line explaination on the back were very out of place.

It is my understanding that, in general, evangelical people can be friends with others with different beliefs- but that they truly, deep down feel it is their duty to "save" those people; that they wouldn't be a good friend if they didn't. So they want to love everyone, but part of that love includes "saving" those who are not true Christians.

I don't quite get the dynamic of this situation in general, knowing both you and R... So... yeah.

Anyway... Where'd you go for dinner?

Also know that any time you and B want some adult time... Aunt Y would love to enable you by having some niece time. :) (assuming Aunt Y is not traipsing around the globe somewhere or otherwise occupied)

Interesting, most of my friends are pagan /wiccan or atheist so it's never been an issue.
