Errr...why is Stefan blond and Katherine a brunette? IIRC, it was the reverse in the books. Is this a case of Hair Contrast Duo?

Elena's blonde in the books, and so Katherine would be too.

however, Nina Dobrev, who plays both Katherine and Elena, is a brunette. so for the show, Katherine/Elena is brunette.

Stefan... Paul Wesley really isn't blond, he has brown hair too. i went back and looked at the pic. that's brown hair.

it's a case of the casting, methinks.

In the photo, Paul Wesley looked blond to me at first glance. Maybe it was the lighting in our computer room or something....
