the girls and i watched episodes 1x01 through 1x04 last night. 1x01, Alter Ego, was based on Skin (1x06); 1x02, Roadkill, was based on Roadkill (2x16); 1x03, Home, was based on Home (1x09), and 1x04, Ghost on the Highway, was an original anime episode, but could have been drawn from Route 666 ( Read more... )

1x04 did seem a bit reminiscent of Route 666.

I've never been a huge anime fan - I think the last anime (if it can be called that) I saw was Voltron back in the 80s... heh... but I'm enjoying this. :)

as i'm about to say in my next post - the originals may seem reminiscent of established episodes because they're in the same 'verse, so they're familiar to us. =)

Yeah. I've seen those episodes too. Haven't seen the whole anime though. I saw one of the previews that had Bobby in it, and about had a fit, because it just didn't look like Bobby. No trucker cap? A derby bowler hat instead? Come on! I'll probably watch it all eventually though.

we watched 1x05-1x08, and we met Bobby in 1x07, and M said "that's not Bobby!" but i'd told her that anime!Bobby was different. and he kinda grows on you...
