It's kind of sad they only use the Rider-Waite deck on television shows. I've seen (and own) some freaking awesome decks with beautiful designs.

I really enjoyed the episode, though. A surprise, indeed.

actually, i don't know what kind of card the one from Faith is..... i don't believe it's a real card. i have a dragon tarot deck.

I haven't seen the deck in the "Faith" shot before. I'll have to check the website I go to and see if I can't locate it. Of course, it's quite possible it was mocked up for the series specifically. Carnivale had its own deck made up for use in their opening credits. I wish they'd mass produced it, because it was freaking awesome.

yeah, i'm sure the one in Faith was made specifically - since we don't really know what it is on the card to begin with - the Heirophant? Death? something else?

oooh cool!

I just loved the title of the episode. haha I was like... is there a story behind that??

And the I like the actor that played the younger Charlie (that was apparently a IRL father/son!). He guest stars in a lot of shows and is always pretty cool.

Criss Angel is a popular illusionist. The second magician who was hanged bore a striking resemblance to his television series persona.

haha. i know who he is, but the title seemed like someone was mad at him or something.

Probably just used his name because he's the most popular/recognizable name in illusionist entertainment today. Had this been fifteen or twenty years ago, they would've used David Copperfield's name instead.

in a way it was sad... but as Sam said at the end - he doesn't want to be hunting demons when he's old. he wants it to end pretty much now.

But we knew it from the beginning. Or you meant he wants to end himself now?

he wants it to end - the demon-hunting, the big bad evil.

thing is though, now that they (D&S) know about the evil and demons in the world, they can't unknow it. and they can't take a vacation from hunting things - it wouldn't sit right with them knowing there is evil out there and they're on a beach somewhere.

i've been thinking about the Sam/Ruby/not telling Dean bit for a while this morning. it's just a jumble right now, but when i can make sense of it, i'll try to post something else.

I liked it!

Damn Ruby.... leading Sam down the dark path. Cause like Dean said.. there's 1000 heads! Taking out Lilith just puts another in her place.. and if he takes her place.. well that's not good.

I love the actor that played Jay. He's always spectacular.

i think Sam felt he needed to go, too... y'know? he doesn't want to be doing this for another 40 years, and cutting off another head to find another in it's place, yeah.

heheh Barry Bostwick was in Rocky Horror, too! lol!
