Hey you - how lovely to read this. I feel I have now been formally introduced to your Dad, and certainly I recognise a lot of what I know about you in your description of him.
I was going to email you (in fact I might have done it, I can't remember now) but don't worry about responding if I did. It's good to know you are ok, coming into hopefully a good place, and it will be awesome to have you back here. I've missed you.
Nearly back! I've another really busy week, but all we have to do now is sell books, that's the easy bit. I've got a feeling there's a couple of e-mails, not just one, but I'm hoping to catch up today. I'll get to you! (146 e-mails, yikes, I have been so seldom near my inbox!)
Hope very much all is well with you and your family - and with writing and art. Catching up there is one thing I'm really looking forward too!
What a lovely post. I'm not going to talk about Dad dying. It's not what matters about his life. That's going to stick with me. Sounds to me like he had a life well lived. Wishing you peace as you move forward.
Eh, thank you. You are absolutely right about that well-lived life, and I feel so very, very lucky to have shared so much of it. So much of grief, it seems to me, is regret and second thoughts, but my father was very clear on how content he was with his life, and to know that is a massive consolation.
