Well 'tis done, and well done too. Considering I've never got round to reading any Dunnett, your story was easy to follow and your characters definitely well drawn and engaging. It's easy to come up with images when the writing is this tight. ♥

Eh, thank you.

I wasn't sure. I think I over-wrote this one, and it certainly wasn't the rollicking adenture I set out to write, bother it. For for a first try at substantial Dunnett, though, it's okay. Maybe next time it'll come good!

Hmmmm... it's okay? It's not really the fic I set out to write.

But I did start out by thinking, okay, who do I really, really like, a historical fictional character, about whom I can write 10K plus? - Philippa. Closely followed by Marthe. I did consider Kes as an adult, anything about the Crusades (No! Too much research and Cecelia Holland did it better!) and possibly Theodora... Actually, thinking about it was the fun bit. :)
