I'm guessing Nintendo came down hard on retailers for selling it early because I didn't realize they'd all go "OH SHITS no selling DSlites"

Historically Nintendo's always been kind of easygoing about their release dates. I don't understand why, if it's such a big deal to them, they're sending out the shipments weeks and weeks in advance. The Sears guy said they had had theirs in for an entire week already. He only actually had two left in the back.

The only places I'm still hearing about them being sold in are Targets in Texas. I can't imagine that will last much longer either.
