File 53 - Start of Spring Term

Apr 21, 2010 14:00

School has finally resumed. I think I'll try out for the track team this year. Last year, I didn't have much time to devote to extracurricular activities (for obvious reasons), but now I want to make the most of my public school experience. I'm even receiving casework from my fellow students ( Read more... )

I wish I got love notes that I'd actually want to respond to.

I used to just take them home and shred them without reading them, but that did nothing to lessen the influx. At least by responding in the negative, they'll know that it's pointless to try and woo me.

I feel kind of ungrateful, but just because I play sports, everyone in school seems to think I like girls. It's really annoying and I don't even know if I do but I don't think I do and fh;adlshtgiorh.

Wait, what? But Chie-senpai plays sports and no one thinks she--[Oh wait, there's that rumor about her and Yukiko-senpai, but that's different!]

Erm, in any case, it's silly to think just because you like sports it means you like girls. Not that there's anything wrong with that if you do. But the point is that both boys and girls are required to participate in physical education...

I see you're fending off your admirers with a stick, as usual. An official declaration would probably solve the issue, but do you intend to mention his name?

I don't think it'll be as bad as it was last year, though. There are still fewer first year students compared to the second and third years combined.

I don't know... I guess I should ask Kanji what he thinks about the whole thing. He's become quite well-known because of his handicraft classes...

Yes, but you should forestall the balance shifting next year by somehow getting yout point across.

You should take it up with him first either way, I mean, it's not like you can somehow pretend it doesn't involve him.

Probably. I don't want to make a big deal out of it. It's only a minor annoyance (and a waste of paper).

Of course. But most people are decent enough to forgo any wooing if one simply says that they're not interested in a romantic relationship, regardless of their availability.

Do you like going to school?

I didn't used to like it before, but now... it's another place where I can socialize with my friends. I've grown much closer to my fellow classmates, so now it's not so incredibly awkward for me to interact with them.

Ah... that is similar to what I have heard from someone else.

..does meeting people physically make a very big difference?

Who might that be?

Well, I suppose it depends on the person. Many introverts can derive just as much social interaction from the Internet as an extrovert does from meeting their friends at the mall. In my experience, I've learned to appreciate the face-to-face meetings a lot more than I used to. I suppose it's because I've grown quite close to my friends, some more than others. If I haven't seen Kanji in a while, I get lonely...

That was the most boring shit I ever had to do. Ugh, second year sucks.

It's really not all that different from first year work... I actually requested to be put in advanced courses...

By the way, about all those love notes I've been receiving... I think it might be easier if I simply made an official declaration about the issue. What do you think?

I need my brain to be constantly challenged or else I get bored very easily.

Just what it sounds like: I don't want to have to write the same thing over and over again, so I figure just making an official statement saying that you and I are dating should be sufficient to quell any romantic intentions on the part of the student body at large.
