Naoto had agreed to meet with the infamous Phantom Thief at the train station in the Ekoda district. The Tenth Doctor had been kind enough to allow Naoto the opportunity to deliver all her Christmas gifts, before Inaba was completely cut off

Naoto looked about, thinking back on Kid's words: Trust me, Shirogane-san, you'll know. She scanned each passing person, wondering if one of them could possibly be the infamous phantom thief.

And then, she noticed a familiar looking young man. She'd only seen his face a few times on the community, but the resemblance to Conan was uncanny. And of course, since Conan was, in truth, Shinichi Kudo, she knew right away that this must be Kid in disguise.

She stood and made her way to the "high school detective" unhurriedly. Even as she approached, she felt her pulse quicken just a little. Her fingers clenched around the box in her pocket, as if she might draw strength from it.

"Shinichi Kudo, I presume?" Naoto said, a grin curling the corners of her mouth as she gave him a wink.

Her eyes widened a bit. He sounded exactly like Kudo! But that smirk... that was all Kid right there. Unmistakably so.

She nodded once and also bowed slightly in return. "Um, yes... but would it be all right if we moved somewhere a little less crowded? I feel like I can hardly breathe with so many people around."

Naoto really was a country bumpkin, wasn't she? But her discomfort around crowds wasn't the only reason she wanted to seek a more private place. There was also the little matter of that gift she wanted to give Kid... and what she wanted to tell him, afterward.
