Roots!

I talked to my mama this morning. She sounded happy. She's visiting her family and going to a wedding this afternoon. It made me miss her :( In my house, we all take so much joy from making my mom happy. I say go where the wind takes you. But don't underestimate the power and importance of your current roots. I'm sure there are a lot of people where you are that would be pretty sad to see you go.

I'm glad your mom is happy. :) I'm not sure how I feel about television - I have no concept of daytime television (though I suspect "ick") though there are some evening shows that I'm fond of...Are there any specific shows you're especially not fond of? Ah, roots...I definitely feel you - I'm actually in California for the first time in five months and not sure how I feel about roots. I like the idea of travel and moving around and meeting people, but it's nice to be where you have long term friendships with people and where they really understand you...I doubt I'll be putting down roots for a while, though...

Oh, and congrats to your sister on the graduation speech! What do you think she is going to speak about (as the influential older sister)? And what was yours about?

I can't even remember what my speech was about. It was good though :) (If I do say so myself). She doens't know what she will speak about either. She's very nervous about it.

The majority of things on television that attempt to be "funny" rely somewhat on this type of humor. Reality and sitcom especially. Wouldn't be so bad if that didn't dominate television programming in general.
