[Around mid-morning in Luceti, there's a tired, blond alchemist limping through the forest, favouring the left leg and right arm a bit. Besides the limp, there is one more thing that's pretty obviously different- that being, Edward is a girl. She doesn't seem to be bothered by this fact, though, and is grumbling only about the state of her automail

[He'd usually be at the smithy, but this is one of those days Sokka opted to take to himself. Consequently he's out in the forest, enjoying a mid-autumn hunt. It won't be long before winter settles in and he won't get to hunt as much at all. He's about to take down a quail with his boomerang when he suddenly hears the sounds of footsteps, scaring the bird away.]

No! Wait! Argh! [He waves the boomerang in the bird's direction.] I just wanted to eat you!

[The shouting catches Ed's attention, and she picks up the pace a little, awkwardly pushing through the foliage to find him. What in the world is he hunting for, with a grocery store full of food just down the road?]

[He's hunting because he's a MAN and sometimes he likes his meals to be earned by himself. He turns back unhappily at the girl's voice. For a second it almost sounded familiar. He starts to gripe as he's turning around.]

Yeah. And you scared away-

[... that hair, the clothes, the automail. Blink blink.]

[Coming out of the smithy? Watch out for Frey, then, who is carrying a large bag, notably filled with... a set of blankets.]

[Edward's a little distracted by what just happened in the smithy - certain people might be acting a little strangely, after all - so she nearly runs into Frey on her way out, stopping just short of a collision with the bag.]

[Frey stumbles back a bit in surprise at thr near miss, nearly dropping the bag in the process. He catches himself and lowers it, though, taking a look at whoever ran into him.] Sorry, Miss...

[Edward backs off a step, shaking her head. Geez...]

Whatever, it's fine. But don't take your slumber party too close to open doorways! You'll hurt somebody.

[ asjdha BROTHER'S HOME! ;o; Al misses the message the first go around, being that the library is a quiet zone and people tended to be fairly loud over the journals, but he catches it on his way out! So that means he's making a b-line for the smithy!! ]

[Edward is already on her way home by then, and a giant suit of armor is pretty difficult to miss, so once she spots him she lifts a hand to wave, shifting her walk into a run.]

[Without Sokka in the smithy Winry is actually napping. She stayed up late, and didn't want to come in later that usual so she can be found drooling a little bit on a large sketch pad with automail schematics on it. There is a list of otherworldly metals in the corner. Some are crossed out while others have questions marks or are circled.]

[After a fun little wildlife disaster in the forest with Sokka (yes, her luck really is that bad) Edward finally reaches the smithy looking somewhat flustered, but glad to be back where she can get her equipment all fixed up. Spotting Winry on the couch, she waves Sokka off (though he'll be chilling in the background a bit) and edges over to crouch in front of where she's sleeping. It's hard to move quietly in automail, but somehow she'll manage! Either that, or Winry's a good sleeper.

She watches for a moment, a little impatient, and then leans in with a cheeky grin.]

[Winry wakes with a start, jumping a little and squeaking out a yelp. Her pencil flies off to the other side of the room and her sketchbook fumbles out of her grip onto the floor.]

[She knows she probably shouldn't laugh, but it was too damn funny to not laugh, so that's exactly what Edward does as she leans back, having at least the decency to lift a hand to her mouth to try and hide it. Oh, that was a good one.]

[Oh yes, fabulous time. Especially since by then Edward has had just about enough of people acting weird around her, so she's on her way out as Haruhi comes in. Time for a collision! Because she needs more of those today, clearly.]

[Clearly. The thing with this is, despite her being fairly solid for a 5'2 Japanese girl, she's nothing as compared to a girl with a metal arm slightly bigger than her. So despite bracing herself, it's her that ends up stumbling back-]
