[Look. Machi's popped up on the feed. He's looking a bit... distant today? Yeah, distant is the word. He's tried privately calling his.. well, friend Lammy to see if she's okay and in Johto -- nothing. Whelp, he's back to square one.
He left New Bark Town as soon as he could. And he's resting in Cherrygrove for now, waiting for the Professah. /o/

I think some of them are found by other trainers or are just released back to the wild.

Yeah, it is. Not too sure how it works. I found one in my box all of a sudden and another wandering in my room.

[ Though the latter has been belonging to his travel mate's so that makes a lot more sense than a random trainer's Pokemon wandering around his room. ]
