I must apologize to Hayashita-sensei... for not showing up for last night's class, that is. I most certainly did not skip the class intentionally; I merely got a bit too drawn in by the book I was reading before the class and didn't realize how much time had passed until the class was almost over. I realize this is no excuse, but still, I do ( Read more... )

Anyone who would think that my missing a class is an excuse for them to do the same.

Of course not, Dan-sama. Skipping classes will not do good for anyones grades.

And I am sure that the sensei will overlook one missed class.

Yet some people do it on a regular basis.

It's called responsibility.

One question... what reason would I have to suck up to a teacher?

(OOC: Dan does appreciate honesty... to a point. He'll be fascinated by it for some time, but if it persists, he'll get upset. He doesn't appreciate being hated for simply being a pureblood any more than he likes being liked for it.)

Call it whatever you want but the truth is you will see it one way and I another.

To stay on their good side of course. Getting distracted by a book and missing one class out of of all of your classes to date is not worth an apology.

Now the way I see it, your record is usually stellar so it wasn't necessary. Why the hell people feel they must apologize for enjoying something to an extent that they forget about something else that's less enjoyable for them I'll never know.

[ooc: That wasn't Bane hating on him, though he's probably going to see it that way XD]

My brother gets lost in his books often, but he hasn't missed a class because of it yet. Then again that could be because I'm notorious about being jealous over what drags his attention away from me and often seek to distract him from his reading.
