Ha! I see I'm not the only one who has seen the resemblance.

As for Sarah Jane's sonic device, it's a sonic lipstick, and apparently, according to some behind the scenes info, when the Doctor rebuilt K9 in School Reunion, he placed it inside K9, along with some other gifts.

The first time I watched this was at a friends house and I kept on pointing out all of the Star Wars stuff and she had no idea what I was talking about! Would you believe she had never seen Star Wars before!?!

Oh, another thing that someone pointed out via macros, The Warp Star necklace looked a bit similar (although the pendant is a bit smaller) to the one Spike wore in the Buffy finale LOL

Actually, sadly, there are lots of folks who don't know the beauty that is the classic Star Wars episodes.

No--I've actually never watched a single episode of Buffy. I was 'young and impressionable' when that was on, so there was no watching of the vampire slayers at my house!

You're right about not many people knowing about Star Wars. Not too long ago, my family and I went out to a restaurant with my aunt and cousin on my father's side, who were passing by on a trip to see my aunt's friend. The walls of the restaurant we ate at was filled with all this 80's memorabilia, such as an Atari console. Anyway, they had this cardboard cut-out of C3PO up on the wall, and my cousin asked if it was Ironman.

A great nod to Star Wars nod from the hand to Palpatine masquerading as Davros...I was waiting for Darth Vader to make an appearance.
