I need some advice/opinions from those of you who are better with logistics than I am!

I’ve been going back and forth with lizook12  today about theories for the S5 finale. At one point I joked that we should start a pool and take bets about what the outcome is going to be. Then, I realized that was a very good idea!

OMG this is too much. I am dying in speculation at the moment and totally spoiler free - the only thing I read is from an interview with DB .. I better not say what it said for those who haven't read it!

I think if you are reading spoilers then you will know anyway if people are basing their theories on sides / spoilers etc.

I'm not sure how you'd do a competition to judge the closet. I guess 3 keys points is a good idea .. but if people just have a general idea or theme maybe you could take that AND 3 points - that way if the general idea is spot on you can ignore the rest.

EG: Someone says'
"Brennan dies and Booth moves to Canada"
If that is what happens - they won.
Where as the person who says:
1. Someone dies.
2. Somebody moves away.
3. Booth is hot.
Doesn't win. :)

Although I'd give a bonus for #3 *g*

I like your ideas! I could have one main theme required, and then 3 points. That way, if more than one person guesses the same main theme, the 3 additional points could be the tie-breakers.

Yeeeees, this just might work. I'm thinking the the 3 points would have to be different, though. Maybe include different characters/locations.

For example:
1) Booth & Brennan have sex on the platform.
2) The Jeffersonian burns down.
3) Angela reveals to Hodgins she's really a man.

It couldn't be:
1) B&B have sex.
2) B&B have kinky sex.
#) B&B have kinky sex on the platform. ;)

Totally understandable, hon! Even when I was spoiler-free I couldn't help but speculate, which probably led to my downfall, LOL.

I hate when I have speculated something and then it happens.

I am so happy for you that you didn't check out that promo photo for example that I posted on ym lj last week - because it showed the scene of B+B discussing stuff post Sweets / flashback .... so I knew something was going to come and of course i speculated that Booth would tell her he loved her or kiss her or something .... now the scene blew me away for sure but damn it would have blown me to pieces I reckon if I'd not been somewhat prepared.

And so - speculation is (or can be) spoilery for sure.

Here endeth my rant LOL

Oh and al hail season 5 of Bones!!!! I was just wondering the other day if I rate it above season 1 and 2 or just along side.

Here is my advice:

I think you should have a deadline for people to submit their ideas. And then after the deadline, you should unscreen the posts so everyone could see what has been suggested and people can discusss the other ideas. Even if people see the other ideas, the deadline already came and went, and people can't really steal ideas anymore.

I just think that this could be a very good discussion post for everyone to especulate together too.

I can't wait for it to start! I already have my theories! :)

I think I would make it a pretty quick deadline - maybe a week? The closer we get to the finale, the more spoilers will be released and I don't want anyone to have the extra advantage.

I might also keep the submissions private until after the finale. I wouldn't want to post them & then have one be dead on and ruin the finale for some people. But we'll see what happens! I'm loving all the advice I'm getting. :)
