Aside the fact I don´t dig slash, you got both their voices so well, they read so familiar - especially Horatio´s proverbial inability to analyze his feelings but react the right way instinctively.

You expressed it much better than I could! Yes, that is one of the strange qualities that endears Horatio to me. He's not my favourite character - I'm a die-hard Crumpeteer - but I love the fact that he and Archie bring out those good, cute qualities in one another. His instinctive reactions in regards to Archie are very sweet, one of the (many) things that make A/H works for me.
