I'm still extremely unimpressed by the Britney covers on this week's Glee. They bring nothing new to it and made them sound uninspired and just...ugh.

That said, Heather Morris should not sing anymore, but by god she's a fucking fantastic dancer. And then I saw Mark Kanemura dancing next to her and I fell in love alllll over again

I felt the way you do about the Madonna episode. I had been expecting much more plot etc, but the music was fantastic. This episode I found to be a lot of fun. I loved seeing more of Heather Morris's character, and I loved Kevin McHale's Stronger.

Just my two cents...and I'm not a Britney fan, really.

I'm not much of a Britney fan, but when she was good, she was good, and I was a little disappointed at the covers this ep. The Glee kids hoenstly could do better. Production values for the re-creation of the numbers though were really good, and the dancing was amazing!

Brittany is hilarious, I hope the writers keep giving her material because the delivery of her one liners is just fantastic.

Okay, if you manage to catch a rerun of the ep, pay attention to the guy behind Brittany in the curly dark wig. That's Mark. At one point when she bends over and gets up close to a guy's face? Yeah THAT'S MARK. I stopped my clip right at that moment and then grinned when I saw his (very distinctive) nose.

In Me Against The Music, he's on the left of the screen during the beginning when Brittany starts dancing. He's wearing a long sleeved grey shirt and light jeans, then when Santana is getting her Madonna on, she ends up griding up on MARK HIMSELF and touches him a lot when he's on the couch. HE ACTUALLY GETS A LOT OF SCREENTIME FOR A DANCER HERE.

It was a pointless ep, and the music was mostly disappointing (unlike the Madonna ep), but I was mostly entertained. Apart from Jacob masturbating, that was just gross.

And I liked Kurt's attitude :D

See I didn't like the lack of plot in the Madonna ep either, and I thought the music for that ep wasn't very good either. It was only saved by Vogue, just like how this ep was saved by Stronger and by the production values when they were re-creating the real music videos.

I WANT MORE DANCING FROM THE PEOPLE THAT ARE ACTUALLY DANCERS. I'm actually quite disappointed that Artie didn't start fantasising about actually being able to *dance*, considering McHale's dancing skillz.

I hated how they covered Toxic, but I think I had an aneurysm when MattMo started dancing. I am way too biased and I NEED A DAMN ICON OF HIM ALREADY OMG.

Ahahahaha, the Madonna ep is one of my favourite episodes of the show - 4 Minutes ♥ ♥ Like a Virgin ♥ Like a Prayer ♥ Vogue ♥ And there was way more plot in it (Kurt and Mercedes joining Cheerios, Will and Emma, Finn/Rachel/Jesse) than the Britney ep. PLUS CHEERIOS ON STILTS!

And I gotta disagree about Artie - I don't care how great a dancer the actor is, dream/fantasy sequences of him out of the chair aren't something they should use often, otherwise it loses any impact.

Toxic was the only really good song, arrangment/vocal-wise. Baby One More Time was kinda painful. And that last song (which I didn't even know) was just boring.

Ahahaha I'm gonna have to disagree with...well. Almost everything here. The thing I've found about this show is that everyone's got their own opinion on everything, there's really no giant consensus of anything. I couldn't stomach most of the Madonna ep and thought Like A Virgin was completely unnecessary.

Though 4 Minutes and Vogue were really awesome. :D

I think the acapella arrangement of Toxic they used wasn't as good as the Purple Haze version I have, they slowed it down some so I didn't feel the impact. Though I loved the choreography! And yes OMG NEVER LET LEA MICHELE SING BRITNEY EVER AGAIN.

I wish they wouldn't give Lea all the HOMG MY LIFE IS FALLING APART SO TRAGICAL solos all the time. It's really getting fucking boring.

Heeeeee! Blond teacher dude is the only reason why I'm still watching, tbh. I love Matthew Morrison because not only is he basically Substitute Timberlake while the real one goes around making movies instead of music dammit, he's also a lost boybander. I hate his characterisation on the show, but I do enjoy watching MattMo sing and dance and overemote.

I don't think he was, but two of the band members in LMNT were finalists in Making The Band but got dumped for various reasons before they became O-Town. Hang on, someone managed to dredge out a picture of LMNT in the short time that Matt was in there.

I enjoyed the girl screaming at Mr. Schu about wanting to be his Britney, because it felt like they were comparing him to Justin, hahah (yeah idk).

Honestly, I'm not as bothered about whether there's plot or not in any one episode. I'm easily pleased and mostly just watch the show because there's singing and dancing. (Every single time Mr. Schu talked about Sailing I thought about *NSYNC, haha!)

Mr. Schu totally gave me second-hand embarrassment in this episode, though. Soooooooo badly.

IDK, it breaks my heart! MattMo is awesome (and super HOT) but Schuester makes me want to punch him. HARD.
