Almost perfect birthday...

So yesterday was my birthday, and it was almost perfect.

The not-so-great stuff in my day was my own doing of course. I discovered shortly after I started my day that I had made a mistake at work that may turn out to be very costly. I frequently tell my kids that beating themselves up over mistakes is pointless and only serves to work against them
