I'm having this horrible time choosing between Joey/Jonouchi and Duke/Otogi. They seem to be the best choices from what I can see, and I think that Jou wins out by a thread. How you describe a date/what you'd do together and your dislike of too much romance and the like pushed me toward him a tiiiiiiny bit more. That may just be me though.

I'm going to go with Joey as well. Definitely fits the laid-back type, though he can have his serious moments (when he's not being an idiot). He's silly... but obviously very loyal as well. He'd fit your willingness to put up with quirks. ;)
