I was wondering about this too. Maybe Bill's got an inferiority complex? For me though I thought that Scary!Bill is still sexy. And I think it's a good reminder to Sookie that Bill is still pretty much inhuman for all his perfect manners to her grandmother. I guess it remains to be seen as to how much of an inhuman monster Bill could/couldn't be.
idk--I only know the TV version of Bill and he's a mystery right now.
I'm intrigued by Eric and am curious as to what kind of backstory he and Bill might have.
