It's inherent to the breed but not all Boston's get it. One day back in mid March he was tearing around outside and when I shortened the leash he kept going.
I noted then that he started to limp.
Well.. it would get better but now it's pretty bad to the point where he spends more time limping rather than with his leg down.
We just got back from the vet.. he checked out his knee cap again and sure enough, it's a slip knee cap.
Ya.. well.. I've got the pet insurance - this is what it's for imho - and ya.. I wasn't sure if it was hip displaysia or not so the doc will also take xrays before the operation.
Cool.. Monty will get to wear "The Cone Of Shame" after all..

Post op is fun ... They usually have to wear an Elizabethan collar to stop them from licking their wounds :)
