I'm taking a break from studying cellular respiration and photosynthesis to gush all over the chemistry between Dean and an angel named Castiel.

This is amazing. It's all I was hoping for and so much more from one of your picspam (as I won't ask you for now to write a fic, seeing as you're so busy with school. You read the 'for now', right?).

On a more personal note it might also be that while most humans cannot tolerate an angels true visage that angels like Castiel might also have a hard time taking in the human condition. Dean, in all his beauty and vulnerability, might be heartrending to Castiel - that is, when Dean's not busy pissing him off.Yes! That's an intersting concept and one I hadn't thought of. I definitely see Castiel as confused by Dean's humanity. Frustrated even - the throwing up of the hands is such a beautiful small gesture that says so much. But you definitely have a point there, about maybe Castiel having an hard time bearing Dean's sight - and not only for Dean's preternatural beauty *g* - but also for his human form

RE: our last IM convo...in CSI (the original) Brad Rowe did *not* kill his wife....her step-mom did. Course he was still a bit of a scoundrel....

Pointed over here by smilla02. This is fantastic. I really like how you've shown the progression of their dynamics here, and how that fluctuates. Castiel is compassionate and coldly ruthless and remote yet fascinated with Dean, and he finds Dean's sense of humor incomprehensible yet seems to have an awareness of irony and humor himself. Contradictory things all at once. I love the odd emphasis and pauses in the way Misha Collins delivers his lines, "What are you dreaming about, Dean?"

Absolutely. And I think that's what keeps both them and us engaged. There is so much to wonder over but it's not predictable at all.

I sincerely hope they keep Misha Collins very busy on SPN. He's creating such an original character. The cadence of his speech is like he's just trying to tell the truth but the truth is so odd ("gripped you tight") that it makes it all seem otherworldly.

Lovely icon btw ... something very poignant about it.
